Long-suffering readers of this series of missives from the World of Ad may recall that, at around this time last year, I decided, in some random attempt to achieve something new in 2006, to make a resolution. If you don’t remember this, or if you’ve joined us after that decision, I’ll give you a moment to nip off here and read it. Off you go, then.
It goes without saying (well, it would, but it won’t) that my execution of this resolution was not, on any level, what one could deem a resounding success. It’d be a misrepresentation of the facts to think of it as a partial success, also. The word I’m skirting around, dear reader, but which cannot really be avoided any longer, is failure. I gave myself two options for fulfilling my resolution for 2006 and I failed on both counts.
