Hardly the sort of thing about which one should raise a chuckle, I know, but sometimes events conspire to make a horrible irony.

And so it is that we find this week’s copy of the Aberystwyth edition of the Cambrian News featuring “Woman plunges 50 feet” as its main front-page headline.  This, as you may be aware, is the story of a student at Aberystwyth University who fell from one of the windows in Brynderw halls last week.

So far, so utterly devoid of any irony, you may well think – and you would be right.  Unfortunately, directly below this article on the front page are a couple of advertisements.  One of these is for Aberystwyth University.  Its headline?  “Drop in to Teaching…”
