None of the currently-closed retailers is displaying a predicted re-opening date at present. The latest word on B&Q is that it may take up to three months before they can open again. Currys and Halfords, meanwhile, expect the work to take about six weeks in total.
An excellent post and well done to all concerned. It's refreshing to see a sense of pride and a work ethic do still exist as well as a sense of duty to customers who regularly support the store. I wonder who will be paying for the clean up in the other stores on the park..... I have a feeling it might ultimately be the customers...

Yes, I should probably clarify that statement: none of the goods on our shelves had to be thrown away as a result of flood damage. There was, of course, collateral damage to the cat litter, as well as a number of freshly-prepared items that could not be sold. Rather than throwing them away, as there was nothing wrong with them, these items (freshly baked pies, etc.) were given to colleagues and anyone else passing the store who looked like they could do with a sausage roll.

Awesome blog post, yet again.

Nothing was damaged, nothing had to be thrown away.

Wait, what? Did you hang up the bags of cat litter to dry out and then put them back on the shelves, then?

Regardless: a fantastic and inspirational story about staff going above and beyond, and generally kicking arse. Colour me impressed.
